Two ways to save

Group goals and rotating stokvels,
side by side.

Every group saves differently. Whether you're building toward one big goal or rotating the pot the classic way, Snoko speaks both languages.

Group goal

Save toward one shared target

December holiday, a wedding, groceries fund — everyone contributes until the pot hits its goal, then it's celebrated and paid out.

  • Live progress bar toward the target
  • Receipt-backed group expenses
  • Goal-reached celebration & payout
Rotating stokvel

Everyone pays, one receives

The classic umgalelo. A fixed amount each cycle, a fair rotation order, and one member receives the full pot every round.

  • Fixed payout order, visible to all
  • Proof of payout + recipient confirmation
  • "You're #3 · 2 cycles away" clarity
How it works

Honest money in four steps.

No mystery balances. A rand only counts toward the pot once its proof has been seen and approved.

1
Create a pot

Pick goal or stokvel, set the target or cycle amount, and give it a name.

2
Invite your people

Friends, family, colleagues — the whole group sees the same numbers.

3
Contribute with proof

Pay as you always do, snap the proof of payment, submit it.

Pending
4
Approve & track

Once reviewed it counts toward the pot — for everyone to see.

Warmth in the chrome.
Precision in the numbers.

Everything a stokvel needs to stay accountable — and nothing it doesn't.

Full activity ledger

Every contribution, payout and expense — date-grouped, filterable, transparent.

Receipt-backed expenses

Admins prove group spending with receipts, so nothing leaves the pot quietly.

Democratic governance

Missed contributions trigger a group vote. The majority decides — not one person.

PDF statements

Export the pot's full statement for year-end, disputes, or the group WhatsApp.

Payout confirmations

Recipients confirm they received their payout — visible to the whole group.

Light & dark themes

Warm sunset by day, easy charcoal by night. Try the toggle up top.

Snoko never holds your money.

We're the trusted record-keeper, not the bank. Members pay each other directly — EFT, cash, however your group works — and Snoko verifies the proof, keeps the ledger, and keeps everyone accountable. Your data is protected in line with POPIA.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The things groups ask before they bring their stokvel onto Snoko.

Does Snoko hold or transfer my money?

No. Money moves directly between members the way it always has — EFT, cash deposit, whatever your group prefers. Snoko records contributions with proof, tracks the pot, and keeps everyone honest. We never touch the funds.

What's the difference between a goal pot and a stokvel pot?

A goal pot saves toward one shared target (like a trip). A rotating stokvel collects a fixed amount each cycle and pays the full pot to one member per round, in a fixed order everyone can see.

How are contributions verified?

When you contribute, you upload your proof of payment. It shows as Pending until reviewed and approved — only then does it count toward the pot. Rejections come with a reason, and you can resubmit.

What does it cost?

Snoko is free to download and use. No ads, no selling your data.

What happens if someone stops contributing?

After repeated missed contributions the group can start a vote. The majority decides whether the member stays — democratic, transparent, and final.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app: Profile → Delete account. Your personal data is erased; see our account deletion page for full details on what's removed and what shared pot records remain for other members.
